I've waited my entire life to see John Mayer in concert.
Ever since I was about 9 and I got my first mp3 player, (so retro, I know) I have been obsessed with John Mayer. Free falling, Slow dancing in a burning room and Gravity were all on my mp3 player courtesy of my aunt, Stacey (we have always had the same taste in music.) I was obsessed with all the songs and haven't stopped loving them since, hence why seeing him live was at the top of my bucket list.
He came out with a new album, The Search for Everything, and immediately I looked up tickets in Atlanta and bought one. I convinced my friend Emily to go with me and to say the least, it was magical. I'm not kidding it still feels like a dream. I swear to you he's even better in person. Like his songs are just simplified snippets of what he can do. Hearing songs you literally grew up listening to be preformed 100 yards away from you by the person who wrote them, is something I will never get over.
